Rue des Métiers d’Art Fair in Nontron in October 2026

Nontron Arts and Crafts Fair, October 2026, 3

The Rue des Métiers d’Art Fair in Nontron, 23–25 October 2026

In the autumn, Nontron hosts the 16th edition of the Rue des Métiers d’Art Fair, organised on Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October 2026. The event takes place in the town centre, mainly around Place Alfred Agard and Voie des Tanneurs. The municipality of Nontron has confirmed that the event will go ahead over these three days, whilst the organiser has provided details of the programme and access arrangements.

Around thirty designers gathered in Nontron

According to the programme issued by the Nontron and Périgord-Limousin Experimental Centre for Arts and Crafts, around thirty professionals are taking part in this year’s event. They are showcasing their new collections, one-off pieces and small-batch ranges across a range of categories: home décor, art objects, tableware, jewellery and fashion accessories. The organiser has also announced a programme of workshops and demonstrations.

Above all, the visit allows you to explore the stalls at your own pace and speak directly with the craftspeople. Cabinet-making, leather goods, basketry, cutlery, ceramics, jewellery and woodwork are among the crafts featured in the 2026 programme. It’s an opportunity to examine the materials up close, ask the craftspeople questions and, for those who wish, take home an original piece made in France.

Organising a day trip to Nontron from Saint-Estèphe

Stroll amongst the stalls and meet the craftspeople

From the Gîtes des Puymerail, this event can easily be incorporated into a day out in Nontron. Once there, the idea is simple: wander around the different areas of the fair, look at the items on display, meet the craftspeople and enjoy the scheduled demonstrations. You can then extend your outing into the town centre before heading back towards Saint-Estèphe.

Nontron has long maintained close links with the arts and crafts sector. In particular, the town holds the «Ville et Métiers d’Art» designation and hosts a variety of events centred on craft production throughout the year. The organiser also states that, on average, around 2,000 visitors attend the fair each year.
